Welcome to Tender Roots.

Your place to feel grounded, supported, and free to grow.

At Tender Roots Therapy & Wellness, we believe healing happens in connection. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, burnout, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, you don't have to carry it alone.

We created Tender Roots as a space where people can slow down, feel seen, and reconnect with what matters most. Our approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and the belief that every person already holds the capacity for growth and healing. Sometimes we simply need the right support, environment, and relationships to help us access it.

Just as healthy roots provide stability, nourishment, and resilience for a tree, strong foundations can help us weather life's storms while continuing to grow. Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand yourself, explore patterns that may no longer serve you, strengthen your relationships, and cultivate meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

A large tree with wide, twisting roots and dense green foliage, sunlight shining through the leaves.

"A tree has roots in the soil yet reaches to the sky. It tells us that in order to aspire we need to be grounded and that no matter how high we go it is from our roots that we draw sustenance."

— Wangari Maathai

Our Approach to healing

Learn to navigate your own mind. Discovering your cognitive patterns. Learn how to combat maladaptive patterns and form new healthy mental patterns.
Learn to regulate your emotions and mood by increasing emotional literacy, emotional expression and processing.

Mind

Body

Nervous system regulation is the key to healing and internal safety. In the modern day, our bodies are under constant micro-stressors and we never truly relax. We are susceptible to stress and burnout.
Therefore, we need to learn how to relax, to rejuvenate, to tune into our body’s messaging. Learn how to self-soothe and regulate. Learn how to release somatic trauma and tension.

Spirit

Who are you outside of what society and others wants you to be?

Authenticity and connecting with your true Self is the basis of self-worth, self-confidence, self-esteem, the ability to be assertive and set boundaries. We will help you explore your identity, understand your values, and align yourself with who you are and want to be.
Evolutionarily, we are social creatures. The way we love and receive love, our values, mental patterns, self-worth, our felt sense of safety, and trust in others and in the world were all formed in relationships.
As children, the trauma of social rejection, abandonment, and neglect was internalized and still lives inside us. As we age, we need to learn about our core wounds and heal our inner child.

Modalities are the different approaches therapists use to support healing. They shape how therapy feels and the tools used along the way.
